How To Use Shampoo And Conditioner?

Have you ever washed and conditioned your hair, and not felt clean afterwards? This happens to more people than you think, and it is because you are using the wrong hair care products and not washing your hair correctly.

Wash Less, Condition More
To have really happy, healthy hair, you should wash less and condition more. Washing your hair with shampoo is essential to remove build-up from your scalp, but over washing will also remove the essential natural oils provided by your scalp to protect your hair. Try to wash your hair 2 or 3 times per week, but condition more often to provide your hair with moisture and protection between washes.

Shampoo Your Scalp, Condition Your Ends
Start by wetting your hair and scalp. First, you will use shampoo. Apply a small amount of product to your hands and distribute evenly over your scalp. Gently scrub your scalp in a straight-line motion (to avoid tangling your hair from the root), being careful not to shampoo your ends. Rinse with cool water. If you shampoo recommends rinsing and repeating, you will follow the shampooing steps again.

Next, you will condition your hair. Use a small amount of conditioner to your hands and apply to the mid-shaft and ends of the hair, avoiding the scalp. Detangle hair if needed while the conditioner is in the hair, starting from the bottom. Let it sit several minutes to absorb and then rinse with cool water.

Switch To A Natural Shampoo and Natural Conditioner
Conventional hair care products are very popular because they are trusted. You’ve seen them advertised on tv, endorsed by celebrities, used by friends and they line the walls of the stores you go to. Yes, these may use a few natural ingredients, but they are also full of harsh chemical cleaning agents that strip your hair of the essential oils and nutrients it needs to thrive. Do your hair and scalp a favour, and switch to a natural shampoo and natural conditioner. These products are sulfate-free, paraben-free and silicone-free because they only use all-natural ingredients to wash and condition your hair. Your hair will absorb the nutrients provided by the natural shampoo and natural conditioner to stay clean for longer, there’s no question about it.
